Vince Purgatory

Before GHTV, Vince Purgatory was best known for his ‘trashy’ reality-TV show productions Celebrity Love Quest Island and Naked Survivalist (usually filmed at the same time and in the same location, which was rarely an island). Purgatory is now 36 years old, with intense eyes and a well-manicured beard. He favors wearing a watch cap, peacoat, and a blood-red scarf, no matter what the weather.

Helen Huli

Helen Huli was in her 20s when she started Ghost Hunt TV in 2015 as a YouTube channel with her production partner, Chase Monroe. Those early shows were stand-outs thanks to excellent production design, graphics, and editing, but mostly they succeeded because of the enthusiasm Helen brought to the hunts. No matter where the hunt, Helen brought a gleeful spirit of adventure to the show.

She had a break with Waits when approached by The Network to purchase rights to the GHTV. The money was incredible, but Helen wasn’t as keen as her partner to “sell out”.

The live investigation series premier aired on October 31, 2019. Whatever happened that night, the show was scrapped, the footage was never shown again, and Helen Huli disappeared from the public eye until returning for Vince Purgatory’s Ghost Hunt TV in 2024.

Danse Sterling

Is there a strange locale or even stranger drug (taken only during sacred rituals, of course) that Danse Sterling hasn’t experienced? Probably, but he’s done more than most. Whether it’s the desert southwest of the United States, the fog-shrouded ruins of Machu Pichu, or the heart of a forgotten pyramid in Egypt, Danse has been there, attempting to commune with the beyond, expand his understanding of the universe, and come to terms with the powers that simmer within him.

Jimmy Black

“What does Jimmy Black look like?” ask hundreds of his fans. But if all you had to go on was footage and official press releases from Ghost Hunt TV, you wouldn’t know. There’s always a camera in the way, or a hoodie, or an inconveniently-placed fern.

But Jimmy Black, even though ostensibly ‘just’ a cameraman on the GHTV team, has a massive social media following (“The Cult of Jimmy B”, they call themselves), a fact that galls Vince Purgatory to no end. But what are you going to do? After all, “He’s the best cameraman we’ve got.”

Jennifer 13

“Thirteen” isn’t Jennifer’s real last name, but it’s what the crew calls her. She was the thirteenth intern hired for the new iteration of GHTV, and while other interns fade away (sometimes literally), Jennifer is still around. Considered an old-hand now, Jennifer strongly believes in the ‘real’ monsters, and strongly wants to save families, friends, and the world from them.

Though she has no special powers, she is plucky, persistent, and astonishingly resistant to being eaten by the things that go bump-in-the-night. In her early-20s, Jennifer Thirteen has long, brown hair on one side of her head and short, blonde hair on the other (she says the coloration is natural, but this seems unlikely). She is rarely seen without her fishing vest, which she wears because, “C’mon, man, look at all these pockets! I’ve got EVERYTHING in here.”

Ewalt Grummin

Lording over East Texas’ Big Cyprus Bayou from either the seat of his fan boat or the seat of his ancient Coleman cooler on the porch of his double-wide, Ewalt Grummin is never without a gun and a beer. And never let it be said that Ewalt will let a debt go unpaid. Nope, he’ll hunt that debtor down and get his $5 back, no matter what!
